APPLE COMPUTER AND PIXAR COFOUNDER
Steve Jobs has an uncompromising drive for perfection. He helped build the first desktop personal computer, cofounder Apple Computer Corporation , marketed a revolutionaryoperating systems, and became a millionaire all before his 35th birthday. He is a brilliant motivator and charismatic corporate leader .
Under
his direction , Apple took advantage of advances in both memory and
bettery technology to develop the ipod , the million units in its first
two months in 2007.
Jobs has led Pixar’s award-winning animators to create some of the most beloved animated films, such as Toy Story , Cars, Abug’s Life , The Incredibles , and Finding Nemo. Pixar merged with the Walt Disney Company in 2006, and jobs now serves on Disney’s board of direectors.
DONNA DUBINSKY
PALM,HANDSPRING,AND NUMENTA COFOUNDER
The
human brian stores and analyzes data to make predictions and reach
conclusions. Donna Dubinsky believes her newest company , Numenta , can create a computer memory systems that allows resarchers to devlop applications that mimic the human brain’s workings.
Dubinsky
is passionate about creating companies that produce ground-breaking
technologies. In the mid- 1990s, she sensed that people wanted to own an
eletronic version of their paper appointment books. She and Jeff
Hawkins introduced the original Plam Pilot at Plam Computing in 1996.
Sale of more than two million units made the Plam Pilot the Most rapidly
adopted new computing product ever manfactured.
Dubinsky
and Hawkins left Plam in 1998 to cofound Handspring , where they
introduced several successful products, including the Treo smart phone .
In 2003 , Handspring merged with the Plam hardware group to create
plamOne , now called Plam .In 2007 , Plam shareholders elected Dubinsky
as a Class II director to serve until 2010.
