There lived a cricket in the neighbourhood of an ant. The cricket sang songs throughout spring and summer. He was very happy. He did no work at all. Winter came and it began to snow everywhere. He had saved nothing for winter . He began to die of starvation He went to the ant for help. He begged for some food . The ant refused and pushed him away saying .” We ants neither lend nor borrow” The ant asked him the reason for not storing food for winter in summer. He replied that he used to sing songs merrily . The ant said to him dance away in the winter then.
Moral: 1. No work , no food.
2. No pain, no gain.
3. Do not depend upon others.
4. Save something for rainy days.
